MINISTRY UPDATE - by Pastor Benedit Amenemoint

Successes

This year we have managed to do a number of things with the help of the Lord.

1.School of Missions and leadership training. We have managed to complete our two year course and our students are yet to graduate God willing next month. We have also managed to hold many seminars mainly for Leaders, women, and youth. We held a womens seminar in our village and( 200 ) women from different churches attedended. We also held a youth seminar at the same place and 415 youth from different parts of the district attended. In September 2008 we had an opportunity to hold a Seminar in Kigali Rwanda the attendance was very good.It was a two weeks seminar  for all and each day we had between 400 -600 people attending. This month October,I have just finished a two days training course for pastors in Kampala and we had  70 pastors and Church leaders attending.

2.Volunteers and Abba Kids Club.

This year we have managed to host eight volunteers  from Oasis  Trust U.K. The first group came in April and left in August. The second group has just come this month and will leave in March next year. They are a very big blessing to us.They have done an excellent work in evangelising to schools and our community. With their help we have managed from a very humble beginning to start a Kids club.( Please see the forwaded Proposal).Oasis Trust does not help fund any of our projects. The placement Director has been helpful in assisting me to eddit the proposal I have forwarded to you.I have however requested her if she can help us find donors for this particular project.

At the moment the volunteers stay with us in our house and the kids  use our compound. The volunteers pay for their accomodation which is a one off gift of 1 million Ugandan shillings and also contribute towards their food.

B. Setbacks.

Perhaps the biggest set back has been lack of enough funds to run the ministry. Also we have had problems with sickness especially with my family members. The challenge a head is to raise funds to run the school of Missions, the kids club and family. Also to find faithful, available and teachable people to work with.

2.
Our ministry is working in partnership with many Churches and ministries here in Uganda,eg. Pentecostals,Baptists.Anglicans, Presbeterians,Oasis Trust Uganda, just to name a few.

3.
We have five members in our Board at the moment.Three  are teachers in our school of Missions and two help with the Kids club.Their names and functions are as follows:

1. Benedict Amenemoit- Director/teacher

2.Abraham Kirembwe-Teacher also helps us with keeping books of accounts

3.Vicent Senyonjo- teacher

4.Racheal Amenemoit- helps with the kids club

5.Juliet Kisakye- Helps with the Kids Club.

4.Personal Observation and recommendation

Our Board team is doing a very good work.We were four teachers but one left us and joined another ministry. They only need more training. There is still need to have more members in our Board and also people to work with especially with the Kids Club.

5  Ministry Plan
ur ministry plan for next year remains the same. We are still trusting God for His provision to buy the land for the school of Missions and also to raise funding for the kids Club. Our family needs remain the same as forwarded last year, the school fees of the kids also remain the same. Please let me know if you need it forwarded.  Please we appreciate whatever the Lord provides.Nothing is little before him.

Prayer Request.

1.Pray for the Lord to give us more faithful, available and teachable workers .

2.Pray for His divine Provision to cater for the needs of the ministry and our personal needs.

3.Pray for our Kids club. Many Kids and youth are turning to the Lord through it.

4.Pray that the Lord may grant us good health.

5.The Church in Uganda is passing through a very trying moment. Please pray for our Church Leaders that they may live godly lifes and preach the Truth.

I am sending the finacial report soon.I will post the receipts this week via airmail.I will also scan some pictures and you should get them this week. God bless and thank you so much for standing with us Rod.Please should there be any question let me know.

God bless.

Pastor Benedict
